I’m passionate about supporting small business owners in the Tulsa area — especially those just getting starting.
Before I started Bill Scott Consulting in 2018, I spent over 40+ years building a career with companies like JP Morgan Chase, Apple, and a variety of banks and savings institutions. In these roles, I developed strong expertise in budgeting, managing profit and loss, cost analysis and financial forecasting — all essential skills for running and growing a business.
Over the years, I’ve led employee training at every organizational level, written national training manuals for financial systems, and become a go-to expert on both computer hardware and software. My background in project management has taught me how to manage complex projects from idea to execution. learning how to balance strategy with real world action.
And I've been in your shoes. I’ve launched three businesses of my own, so I have first hand experience with both the ups, the setbacks and what it takes to keep going and deal with the real challenges of entrepreneurship.
What makes my approach different is pretty simple: I don’t just offer advise — I show up as a true partner. I bring clarity, empathy, and a “whatever it takes” mindset. I believe in the value and potential of people, and listen closely, whether I'm working with business owners, staff, or clients. Everyone deserves respect and courtesy and that's how I work, every step of the way.
A Little More About Me:
As a follower of Jesus Christ, my faith is the cornerstone of everything I do — in life and in business. It shapes how I lead and how I show up for others.
Tulsa has been my home since 2011 but my story stretches across the country. I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Phoenix, spent many years in Columbus, Ohio and eventually found my way here. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from California State University – East Bay and completed some graduate coursework at Arizona State University. I'm also a proud dad of two wonderful adult kids who still live in Ohio.
When I’m not working with small business owners, you’ll probably find me watching a game on TV (I’m a lifelong sports fan) or enjoying good food and conversation over lunch or dinner with friends.
I've always had a love for travel, and feel incredibly fortunate to have visited some of the most beautiful and inspiring places around the world — including all 50 U.S. states. Those experiences have opened my eyes, shaped my worldview, and reminded me just how much we can learn from one another. Sharing stories and reflections from my journeys has become one of my favorite ways to connect with people.
That sense of curiosity, empathy, and respect carries into my work. Every business owner’s path is different, and I see it as a privilege to walk alongside them—offering not just tools and strategy, but honest partnership and encouragement for the road ahead.
